Interior in elegant pinstripe
We love nothing more than rising to the challenge of merging innovative materials in the vehicle interior to create an aesthetically pleasing overall effect. For Audi, for example, Novem produced a decorative inlay made of dyed black Beaufort wood with thin aluminium strips. This creates the look of a sophisticated and elegant suit in the vehicle interior. The veneers, cut perpendicular to the layered wood-aluminium composite, are just 0.65 mm thick. The process involves a relatively high degree of handcrafting. This type of manufacturing quality clearly sets us apart from the majority of our competitors.
Next level interior design
Flowing lines are easy on the eye
One trend-setting design innovation for Maybach and the Daimler S-Class is apparent in the flowing lines of the interior design, especially the contemporary and original interpretation of the wood inlay. The deep-set, horizontal trim of the instrument panel with its elegant, curved shape uses calm formality to create the impression of visual expansiveness. The wrap-around in the door linings skilfully extends the sense of horizontal expansiveness.
These flowing lines are adjusted for visual perception, and flow from left to right along the entire belt line of the vehicle. The milling system was devised by Novem. The design and material craftsmanship in the interior lend the new business sedan the perfect visual blend of emotion and intelligence.
Innovative function trim
A new chapter in sensor technology
For our customer BMW we have developed a function trim that captivates with the innovative design of its climate control operating panel. In a virtuoso combination of light and colour, material, form and technology, the elegant, matte black trim provides a high degree of comfort and convenience. In the function trim, which is operated by swiping a finger to regulate heat and ventilation, our developers have integrated a head-up display. The special aspect: For the first time, the function trim was expanded to use so-called capacitive controls. This means that the driver hardly has to exert any pressure of the finger on the surface and can even operate it while wearing gloves.
